Genisis One Translation Draft One
This translation of Genesis chapter 1 is still a work in progress. This translation is for quickly seeing links behind ideas by trying to use words that are closely linked audibly to the actual Hebrew word. This translation is also going to try to not use transliteration for names as well. For example: "Adam" could be translated "Dirt". Also, one of the more controversial things that will be attempted is to translate God's names into English. I have heard from a fair amount of scholars such as Jim Jordan and Don Stewart that the word "god" means power or strength. My personal favorite idea is the word "god" is "authority" but "power" may be the best fit. In the final draft, "power" is probably what will be used. So here is the first rough draft of Genesis 1.
